Our services are underpinned by the belief that everyone has the capacity to move towards health and well being. As counsellors, our emphasis is on increasing people's personal awareness of how they are in the world, how they interact with themselves and others.
Sometimes due to childhood experiences or traumatic events we can loose our sense of 'self' leading to a feeling of 'something missing' and development of less fullfiling or even destructive relationships with ourselves and others.
Increasing personal awareness leads to growth, choice and change and Gestalt Counselling encourages people to be more present to themselves and engaged in their own lives. Our practice is also influenced by meditation and mindfulness techniques.
We work according to the Code of Ethics of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy www.iacp.ie
